Frequently Asked Questions

If you have submitted an enquiry or call back for a consultation and want to know what happens next, these FAQs are here to help.

  • Once you’ve submitted your enquiry, I’ll review your details and get in touch to arrange an initial consultation. This is usually a short chat (in person, phone call or online) to understand your goals, experience, and any health considerations.

You’ll also be sent a PAR-Q+ Form and a Health & Lifestyle Questionnaire to complete ahead of the consultation.

  • A PAR-Q+ Form (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire) is a standard health screening form used to assess whether it’s safe for you to begin exercising by answering 7 initial medical questions.

    It helps identify:

    • Any medical conditions

    • Injuries or limitations

    • Potential risks during exercise

If all answers to these 7 questions are “no”, you can typically begin training right away.

  • If you answered “yes” to any of the initial 7 medical questions, you will need to complete a secondary set of detailed, condition specific questions.

If all answers to these secondary questions are “no”, you can still typically begin training right away.

If any answers to these secondary questions are “yes”, it may recommend getting clearance from a healthcare professional before starting training.

  • This questionnaire provides a deeper understanding of your daily habits and lifestyle so your programme can be tailored to you.

    It covers areas such as:

    • Nutrition habits

    • Sleep patterns

    • Stress levels

    • Work/lifestyle routine

    • Exercise history

This helps create a more personalised and effective training plan.

  • Yes, both the PAR-Q+ Form and the Health & Lifestyle Questionnaire must be completed before your first session. This ensures your safety and allows your programme to be tailored properly.

  • During your consultation, we’ll:

    • Discuss your goals (fat loss, strength, fitness, etc.)

    • Review your completed forms

    • Talk about any injuries or concerns

    • Outline a plan moving forward

You may also do a light fitness assessment depending on your readiness.

  • That’s absolutely fine, many clients do.

    Depending on your condition:

    • Adjustments will be made to your programme

    • You may be asked to complete a secondary set of questions for the PAR-Q+ Form

    • In some cases, medical clearance may be required before starting

  • All information you provide is kept strictly confidential and used only to:

    • Ensure your safety

    • Design your training programme

    • Monitor your progress

  • You can usually begin training as soon as:

    • All forms are completed

    • Any required medical clearance is obtained

    • Your first session is scheduled

  • Yes, every programme is tailored using the information provided on the PAR-Q, PAR-Q+ (in needed) and Health & Lifestyle Questionnaire based on:
